How We’re Looking Out for Your Safety During COVID-19

As of mid-January 2021, the coronavirus has claimed over 2 million deaths around the world. When this pandemic first reared its head a year ago, very few of us expected it to last for so long.

Unfortunately, it seems like this virus is here to stay, which means we all must do our part in staying safe and protecting others.

Here’s how RDV Limousine is practicing COVID-19 safety during these trying times.

General COVID-19 Practices

The CDC has given the public a general guideline of illness prevention that everyone should follow, regardless of if you’re a driver or passenger.

In general, you must:

  • Wash your hands often using soap and water for 20 seconds or longer
  • Carry and use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol
  • Avoid touching your face
  • Avoid crowded areas
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes
  • Stay home if you feel ill

Rest assured that our chauffeurs are closely following these recommendations.

Vehicle Requirements

To help you feel safe during your ride, we’ve added a few safety requirements and procedures to our vehicles.

Between each passenger, we will wipe down and spray the seats, as well as handles, armrests, and consoles. For your reassurance, we can show you the product that was used.

We’ve also removed all reading material, such as magazines and newspapers. These can retain microbes and promote transmission of the coronavirus. If you must have reading materials, please request them at the time of booking so we can accommodate your needs.

Also, we know that you might leave the house unprepared sometimes. This is why we have bottles of hand sanitizer available in our entire fleet.

Chauffeur Requirements

When it comes to the chauffeurs themselves, we also have requirements for them.

First of all, they should not shake hands with passengers anymore. If the passenger initiates, then they should follow through and use hand sanitizer immediately after.

We’ve also required that chauffeurs refrain from driving for at least 48 hours if they have a fever or cough.

What You Can Do

When it comes to coronavirus safety, it’s a two-way street. Of course, we’ll do our best to make your ride a safe one, but there are some things you can do to also keep our chauffeurs safe.

In general, you’ll want to only take rides when you’re feeling healthy. Wear a mask and keep as far away from the chauffeur as possible.

If you cough or sneeze, use your hands and a tissue to contain the aerosols. Keep the tissue with you and dispose of it when you get out of the car.
