As of November 18, 2021, there are over 256 million coronavirus cases in the world. The pandemic is far from over, even with the rollout of vaccinations.

Because of this, we at RDV Limousine are taking every precaution we can to make our services safe for both our chauffeurs and our passengers.

Read on to find out what our COVID precautions and safety measures are.

COVID-19 Safety Measures

We value the safety of our chauffeurs and passengers, which is why we’re asking you to also take the same preventative measures that our chauffeurs do.

As a reminder, here are the CDC’s suggestions for preventative measures:

  • Wash your hand often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
  • Wash your hands after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing
  • Use hand sanitizer that has at least 60% alcohol if you don’t have access to soap and water
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Cover your cough/sneeze with a tissue and throw it in the trash immediately
  • Avoid close contact with those who are sick
  • Stay home if you’re sick

Careful Cleaning and Disinfection of Vehicles

We frequently clean and disinfect objects and surfaces in our vehicles with cleaning sprays and wipes. We also wipe and spray down the passenger area, including the seats, door handles, headrests, rear of the front seat, armrests, and consoles. This is done with non-scented disinfecting wipes and not only do we wipe down the car after each passenger, but also in between each stop you make.

For your peace of mind, our chauffeurs will show you the product that was used for sanitizing the car. This can be the spray bottle or the box of wipes.

Fewer Handshakes

Previously, it was customary for our chauffeurs to shake hands with all clients. We understand that not everyone is comfortable with that, which is why as part of our COVID-19 safety for chauffeurs, our chauffeurs are instructed not to initiate handshakes. If you’d like to shake hands with your chauffeur, you’re welcome to do so.

Hand Sanitizer in Our Cars

All of our chauffeurs will have hand sanitizer available in their vehicles. According to the CDC’s guidelines, the products we use have at least 60% alcohol in them for maximum effectiveness.

We’ll have 3 oz bottles that can be shared. That way, you can take them along with you and keep your hands clean, long after your ride.

Removal of Paper Products

While we previously had magazines, newspapers, and other paper products for you to enjoy, we no longer stock our fleet with them. This is to prevent the spread of bacteria and germs, including ones from COVID.

Of course, if you want reading materials, you can request them ahead of time so we can provide them just for you.

Stay at Home Policy

Should any of our chauffeurs have a fever or cough within 48 hours of the start of the ride, our COVID-19 safety precautions dictate that they must miss work and stay at home. This is to prevent the spread of illness to both their coworkers and clients.
